Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party - a mediator - meets with the parties engaged in a conflict and actively assists them in reaching a mutually agreed upon solution to resolve their conflict.
Internal Mediation:
Within a company or organization, mediation is often very effective in helping to resolve conflicts between two or more parties. This relates to employees, managers, the CEO, founders, as well as conflicts within the board of directors and other investors.
We create a safe environment in order to engage the parties to the conflict both as a group and individually in an unbiased and neutral manner to better understand the root causes of the conflict. Together with the parties we explore possible solutions in an effort to reestablish trust among the parties and make a plan of action to get everyone functioning as a group.
External Mediation:
For disputes and conflicts between a company and external parties mediation is a type of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). Mediation is private and confidential, non-belligerent, flexible, and more informal than other processes such as arbitration or litigation. It takes considerably less time and costs much less for the parties involved and produces legally binding agreements to put an end to your conflict.
When appropriate we recommend mediation as a method to resolve conflicts. Our court certified mediators use creative problem-solving skills and advanced negotiation techniques to help the parties involved in a dispute find a path to move forward beyond their conflict.
